Leeds United have confirmed the signing of Sean Longstaff from Newcastle United.
The midfielder has joined Daniel Farke‘s side in a deal worth a reported £12million and will add crucial Premier League experience to Daniel Farke’s side.
The 27-year-old has signed a four-year deal at Elland Road and becomes Leeds’ fifth signing of the summer window since getting promoted to the Premier League.
Leeds play Manchester United in their first pre-season friendly in Stockholm on Saturday.
Longstaff arrives at Leeds having made 171 Premier League appearances for Newcastle, scoring 10 goals.
He introduced himself to his new public in a short video posted on the club’s social media channels.

Longstaff follows Sweden left back Gabriel Gudmundsson, Belgium central defender Sebastiaan Bornauw, German forward Lukas Nmecha and versatile Slovenia international Jaka Bijol in making the move to Leeds following the club’s Championship title triumph last season.
Leeds first game back in the Premier League will be at home to Everton on August 18.
It will be the club’s first top-flight match since their relegation in 2023.
