Brysen Wright Makes Incredible 1-Handed Catch in NFL Flag Football Championships Video

Move over Odell Beckham Jr. and Garrett Wilson. A new candidate has emerged for the best one-handed catch on a football field.

On Saturday, during the NFL Flag Championships in Canton, Ohio, Brysen Wright of Jaguars Elite made an unbelievable, one-handed grab for a touchdown against Old Skewl, which represents the Baltimore Ravens:

Despite being well-covered, Wright reached out with his right hand and essentially made a backhanded catch in the end zone.

Three-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback Patrick Mahomes of the Kansas City Chiefs was even impressed by the play, as evidenced by this post on X:

Wright’s reception was reminiscent of two of the most celebrated catches in NFL history, both of which were made by wideouts for New York teams.

In 2014, then-New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. collectively dropped the jaws of football fans everywhere when he made a one-handed catch essentially behind his head against the Dallas Cowboys:

Then, last season, New York Jets wideout Garrett Wilson made a one-handed reception of his own for a touchdown against the Houston Texans:

Wright, who is a class of 2028 wide receiver from Jacksonville, Florida, has already received a ton of scholarship offers from notable colleges.

According to 247Sports, Wright’s offers include Ohio State, Georgia, Texas, Miami, Florida, Florida State and Colorado, among many others.

If his performance in the NFL Flag Championships is any indication, fans may get the chance to see more of Wright’s highlight-reel catches in college and perhaps even the NFL in the coming years.
