Snoop Dogg‘s family is returning to TV screens for a very special occasion — his daughter’s nuptials.

Cori Broadus, the only daughter of the rap star and his wife Shante Broadus, is set to marry fiancé Wayne Duece, as followed in the three-part E! docu-series “Snoop’s Fatherhood: Cori and Wayne’s Story” (streaming on Peacock beginning Thursday at 11 p.m. ET).

Snoop Dogg and Shante Broadus, both 53, married in 1997 and share three children: Cori, Corde, 30, and Cordell, 27. Snoop Dogg has a third son, Julian, 26, from a separate relationship.

The series follows Cori, 25, and Wayne’s pre-wedding celebrations, preparations and the stressors that come along with them. Viewers also get a look at Cori’s life as the daughter of Snoop Dogg, her running her own business and the negativity surrounding her and Wayne’s relationship.

“Snoop’s Fatherhood” previously aired on E! for two seasons, from 2007 to 2008, and offered a wholesome look at the rapper’s family life. Now it’s Cori’s turn to bare all, in a vulnerable series that shows the four months Cori and Wayne began planning their wedding while dealing with relationship and health issues, including the “severe” stroke Cori suffered in January.

At the time, Cori was hospitalized after suffering from a stroke. She shared on her Instagram story from a hospital bed that she “started breaking down crying” when doctors told her about the stroke. In a follow-up post, she noted she was “only 24” at the time, asking, “what did I do in my past to deserve all of this.”

In the first episode of the series, we’re introduced to Cori and Wayne’s life and inner circle as they prepare for a quick-turn wedding with their planner, families and bridesmaids. Viewers also see her and Wayne’s business relationship running their cosmetics company, Choc Factory, and Cori reveals the physical and mental health challenges she faces, including a long-term battle with lupus and struggle with depression.

Cori Broadus gets vulnerable in new show with dad Snoop Dogg

As Cori ruminates over a massive 700-person guest list, and bridal attire designed by Michael Costello, the show shares the vulnerable moment Cori has feeling insecure in her wedding dress.

“I do feel like the outcast, right? I am the bigger friend. I am the chocolate friend. I am the sick friend,” she says, fighting back tears. “My dress. It’s not making me feel safe or sexy.”

She connects her insecurity in the dress to the insecurity she has felt in her relationship.

“I’m battling with myself every day,” she adds. “It’s just so weird to me that Wayne got on one knee, and sometimes I’d be like, ‘Why? Like, why do you love me this much? What do you see in me?’, So I think trying on the dress kind of brought me back to that place.”

Later in the episode, we see the couple share a themed save-the-date video for their wedding, which very quickly leads to negative comments.

“Of course, the haters come in eventually, like … ‘He’s only with the reason for dad,'” she says. “People saying he don’t want to be with me, or he only with me because of this and that. Like, damn, give me a break.”

The couple, who have been dating since 2018, got engaged in November 2022 and still appear to be so, though they have yet to be wed.
