How To Watch West Florida Football In 2025

The 2025 season looks promising for the West Florida Argonauts, who are set to be one of the most impactful teams in NCAA Division II football, according to the FloSports Way-Too-Early Top 25 Preseason Rankings. Finishing 7-3 last year with a young roster and new head coach, West Florida now settles in for a hopeful and promising future.

The Argonauts will revive its starting quarterback alongside its top four playmakers from 2024 that stepped up in wake of a graduating class in 2023 that took the program all the way to the NCAA DII playoffs. Quarterback Marcus Stokes threw for 1,540 yards and 14 touchdowns through eight games. Returning wide receivers Corey Scott and Javon Swinton contributed over 900 combined yards and seven touchdowns, while returning running backs TJ Lane and Jay Sharp brought in another 900 yards and nine touchdowns.

Second-year head coach Kaleb Nobles was promoted from offensive coordinator in 2023 to head coach in 2024 and remained in contention within the GSC, landing second in the conference in offensive yards per game last season. Being a West Florida graduate, there’s no question that Nobles could be the perfect leader for this program if he can replicate and improve upon the 2024 season.
