Shoe repair shop may be forced out of Bensalem store after nearly 40 years
Dominic Mormando has been repairing shoes in Bucks County since 1970. He may soon be out of his Bensalem shop on Nov. 30 after 39 years.
Jessica Kartalija, who abruptly left CBS3 earlier this fall, is back on TV in the Philadelphia viewing area. The veteran anchor was part of the 6ABC crew covering the WPVI-sponsored Thanksgiving Day Parade and has handled general assignments for Channel 6, including this Nov. 27 report about a Levittown family returning to its home after a 2023 house fire displaced them.
WPVI-TV has not said what Kartalija’s specific role at the station will be.
The Penn State grad had been at CBS3 for six years. She was frequently teamed on the anchor desk with Ukee Washington, who remains handling those duties.
No official announcement was made about her departure from CBS3. Apparently there was no non-compete clause in her CBS3 contract since she landed at 6ABC less than two months after leaving Channel 3.
Kartalija is a native of San Diego and worked for CBS’ Baltimore affiliate before arriving in Philly.
