Kalen DeBoer’s first full recruiting cycle as Alabama football’s head coach reaches a critical point Wednesday. The first day of the early signing period for the class of 2025 is here, and much of UA’s group of commitments is expected to sign.
Alabama appears to be in a solid position entering Wednesday’s action. The Crimson Tide’s 2025 class stood at No. 2 nationally according to the 247Sports composite rankings heading into the day.
The group sits behind only Georgia’s. Alabama is one spot ahead of Ohio State, with Texas in fourth and Auburn fifth.

DL London Simmons signs with Alabama
The three-star defensive lineman becomes the ninth signee in Alabama’s class. He’s from Flowood, Mississippi and is ranked No. 62 at his position in the country as well as the No. 521 player overall, per the 247Sports Composite.
OL Micah DeBose signs with Alabama
The four-star offensive lineman becomes the eighth signee in Alabama’s class. The 247Sports Composite lists DeBose as the No. 18 player in the country at his position and the No. 182 player overall. He played for Theodore High School this past season.
DL Steve Mboumoua signs with Alabama
The three-star defensive lineman from Southwest Mississippi Community College becomes Alabama’s seventh signee of the day. He’s the No. 3 junior college player in the class.
RB Jace Clarizio flips back to Michigan State
The three-star running back has changed his commitment back to Michigan State, he told On3. He’s an East Lansing, Michigan native. Clarizio had flipped his commitment to Alabama just last week from the Spartans. Now he changed his decision back already.
LB Darrell Johnson signs with Alabama
The four-star linebacker becomes the sixth signee. He is ranked No. 111 among 2025 recruits, per the 247Sports Composite. Johnson is from Eastman, Georgia.
LB Luke Metz signs with Alabama
The three-star linebacker becomes the fifth signee. Metz is from Hoschton, Georgia, and is the No. 288 player.
WR Lotzeir Brooks signs with Alabama
The three-star receiver becomes the fourth signee. He is from Millville, New Jersey, and the No. 240 player.
DB Ivan Taylor signs with Alabama
The four-star defensive back became the third signee in the class. He’s ranked No. 62 overall among 2025 commits per the 247Sports Composite. Taylor is from Winter Garden, Florida.
TE Marshall Pritchett signs with Alabama
The four-star tight end became the second signee in the class. He’s the No. 426 player overall. Pritchett is from Rabun Gap, Georgia.
LB Justin Hill signs with Alabama
The four-star edge defender from Cincinnati, Ohio became the first signee announced Wednesday morning. He’s the No. 51 player in the class overall, per the 247Sports Composite.
