Aryna Sabalenka and Iga Swiatek are two of the giants in women’s tennis right now, but curiously neither of them have ever reached the final of Wimbledon.
Sabalenka has only dropped one set on her way to the semi-finals this year, and will take on Amanda Anisimova after victories over the likes of Emma Raducanu, Elise Mertens and Laura Siegemund.
Her Polish rival has been similarly imperious, her only dropped set coming in the second round, before beating Danielle Collins, Clara Tauson and Liudmila Samsonova to reach the last four.
The four-time French Open champion now faces Belinda Bencic in the semis for the right to take on Sabalenka, who must find a way past Anisimova, to tee up what could be a mouth-watering clash.
For Sabalenka to beat Anisimova, she faces favourable odds of 4/11 given her status as World No 1, while her opponent is priced at 9/4 to cause an upset.
Similarly, World No 4 Swiatek is backed at the exact some odds as Sabalenka – 4/11 -with Switzerland’s Bencic at 5/2.

Iga Swiatek and Aryna Sabalenka to both win the first set and win the match is 9/4
