It sure sounds like Al Horford is going to be joining the Golden State Warriors.
They just can’t quite say anything about it yet.
Horford’s eventual contract as a free agent previously with the Boston Celtics will likely depend on the final negotiations with restricted free agent Jonathan Kuminga in Golden State.
But given the way Steph Curry spoke about Horford when asked on Thursday, it seems a foregone conclusion.

Curry, in an answer to reporters, first said “when” but then pivoted to “if.” So he certainly seems to know what’s going on.
The full answer:
“He’s a champion, great player. When…if, when all that stuff happens, I’ll talk about it.”
Yeah, sounds like it’s happening.
Horford, 39, is still a great defender, a solid outside shooter and a strong connector offensively.

Golden State needs the help at center, so Horford would be huge.
Curry nearly gave it away, so at this point, it looks a heck of a lot like a “when, not if” situation, to turn Curry’s words around.
