UGA football JUCO commitment Seven Cloud faces domestic violence charges

A junior college defensive lineman who has committed to play for Georgia football as a member of the 2026 recruiting class is facing domestic violence charges in two separate cases in Kansas.

Butler Community College defensive lineman Seven Dantravious Cloud is charged with misdemeanor domestic battery for an incident on April 20 in Butler County, according to online records.

Cloud is also facing charges in a separate case that were filed on Thursday, July 17, in the District Court of Butler County involving the same female. The Butler Community College of Public Safety charged him with disorderly conduct (brawling or fighting) and criminal damage to property from a March 27 incidnet.

Georgia athletics said it cannot comment on recruits until they have officially signed.

Cloud has not returned a message seeking comment.

Cloud is rated the nation’s No. 1 junior college defensive line prospect by the 247Sports Composite. He was committed to Georgia out of McEachern High School in Powder Springs in 2023 and then committed to the Bulldogs last December out of junior college.

According to online records of the District Court of Butler County in the domestic battery case, Cloud is alleged to “knowingly cause physical contact with another person, in a rude, angry or insulting manner,” with a person he had been involved in with a dating relationship or family or household member.

Cloud had a first appearance in that case on Monday, July 14, and was ordered not to have contact with the victim by Judge Chad Crum, according to court records.

That appearance was via Zoom and Crum found probable case, according to the Butler County Times Gazette which first reported Cloud’s charges.

In the March 27 case, Cloud is alleged to have damaged or destroyed the victim’s cell phone. The two misdemeanor charges are listed in court records as a “domestic violence designated crime.”

Cloud has a court date scheduled for Sept. 22 on the domestic battery charge.
