Man United ‘plot move for PSG star but face competition from Premier League rival’… as Ruben Amorim looks to bolster squad with further signings

Manchester United are interested in signing Paris Saint-Germain striker Randal Kolo Muani, according to a report.

Kolo Muani joined the French side from Eintracht Frankfurt for £76million in 2023 but struggled for regular playing time.

The 26-year-old moved to Juventus on loan in January and thrived in Italy with 10 goals in 22 appearances across all competitions.

United showed interest in the forward back in the summer of 2023, but ultimately opted to sign Rasmus Hojlund instead.

The Red Devils have now reignited their interest as they seek to keep strengthening their attack, according to Tuttosport.

However, they face competition from Newcastle, who are also in the market for a striker after missing out on Eintracht Frankfurt’s Hugo Ekitike to Liverpool.

The outlet also states that PSG are demanding an £8.6m loan fee with an obligation to buy for £26m – fees which are out of Juventus’ reach.

Ruben Amorim’s squad is set to be strengthened once again with the imminent arrival of Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford, after United agreed a £71m deal for the Cameroonian forward.

It follows the £62.5m signing of Matheus Cunha from Wolves earlier in the summer, with the club keen to address their attacking woes after registering just 44 goals last season – their lowest ever tally in Premier League history.

United are also set for major attacking outgoings, with Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho, Jadon Sancho, and Antony all expected to leave the club to help fund new signings.

The Old Trafford club are eyeing Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson as a potential addition, but the Blues are in no rush to sell and have slapped a staggering £100m price tag on the 23-year-old.

To finance any move, United would need to offload several high-profile names.

Garnacho is attracting interest from Aston Villa and Chelsea, while Marcus Rashford is closing in on a season-long loan switch to Barcelona.
