Amber Alert issued in Lake George, NY for Melina Frattolin

Authorities issued an Amber Alert for a 9-year-old girl they say was abducted from Lake George in upstate New York the evening of Saturday, July 19.

Warren County Sheriff’s Office activated the alert system on Sunday, July 20 for Melina Galanis Frattolin. She is described as 5 feet tall weighing 100 pounds with brown eyes and hair, last seen wearing a black and white striped shirt, shorts and white Adidas sneakers.

Authorities say she was last seen in a white van on I-87 southbound near Exit 22 in Lake George, New York, at 9:40 p.m. ET, and was taken under circumstances that lead police to believe she is in imminent danger of serious bodily harm or death. There are no known suspects identified by police in the alert.

Anyone with information about this abduction is asked to call Warren County Sheriff’s Office at 518-743-2501 or dial 911. Updates are also posted on amber.ny.gov, and on the New York State Police Facebook page.

USA TODAY has reached out to the Warren County Sheriff’s Office for more information.
