Ronda Rousey Refuses To Apologize For Where She Stands Politically originally appeared on The Spun.
Ronda Rousey remains one of the most iconic fighters in the history of the UFC.
Rousey, now 38, has gotten involved in several different areas of entertainment. She wrestled professionally and got involved in modeling and acting, too. Rousey famously appeared in the “Entourage” movie as a romantic interest of Turtle, the character played by Jerry Ferrara.
While Rousey isn’t that outspoken, at least in today’s sports world, she’s made it clear over the years where she stands politically. Several of her past comments have gone viral.
Rousey rightfully refuses to apologize for where she has stood politically, now and over the years.

Rousey appears to lean left on many issues. Back in 2015, Rousey revealed that she would be voting for Bernie Sanders for President of the United States.
“I’m voting for Bernie Sanders, because he doesn’t take any corporate money,” Rousey told Maxim. “I don’t think politicians should be allowed to take money for their campaigns from outside interests.”
Rousey, however, didn’t end up getting to vote for Sanders, as Hillary Clinton bested him in the Democratic Primary.
“If he doesn’t win against Hillary, then I’ll probably vote for a third party again. To be honest, in 2012 I was against both candidates and so I just picked any third party because I thought if more people voted for third parties then they’d have to take third parties seriously,” she added.

While Rousey might be more of a centrist or leftist, UFC president Dana White is famously very close with President Donald J. Trump.
Rousey revealed in a recent interview that she once promised to never speak ill of Trump, due to his relationship with Dana White and his history with the UFC.
“I think it’s part of the history of the sport,” Rousey said of Trump’s involvement with the UFC. “In 2016, Dana White specifically made me promise to not say anything bad about Donald Trump because back when they needed a venue and no one would give it to them, he did.
“And because I feel like I owe Dana my life, I told him, ‘Alright.’”
Some might criticize Rousey for that decision, though it was hers alone. Rousey has made it clear that she believes everyone should utilize their right to vote.
“Your right to vote is yours alone. It’s not your parent’s, friends’, spouse’s, coworkers’ or anyone else’s. If you’re afraid of someone looking over your shoulder while you vote at home make sure to vote in person (early if possible) where you can be ensured privacy,” she wrote in 2024.
“Though it’s easy to feel disenfranchised if you’re not in a swing state, know that local races and propositions can have an even greater affect on your life than national races and are often decided by a few votes per a neighborhood. Get informed, check your voter registration, make your voice heard! For democracy to work, its people have to participate – and you get a snazzy sticker!”
It’s a great message from Rousey.
