Greensboro (N.C.) Grimsley edge rusher Andrew Rogers told 247Sports that he is reclassifying to the class of 2026 and will now be one among the cycle’s most coveted rising seniors. The 6-foot-6, 240-pound pass rusher held an 89 prospect rating in the 2027 class and was ranked No. 28 at his position and No. 9 player in North Carolina, according to 247Sports. The reclassification accelerates what was already a nationally recruitment and sets up a big finish entering the fall.
“I did it because I feel it would benefit me and my family more and challenge me more in college than in high school where I know what to expect,” Rogers said.
He has set a public commitment date of Aug. 22 and will take multiple game visits this fall, including an official.
