The Kansas City Chiefs will take the field to face the Los Angeles Chargers in São Paulo, Brazil, on September 5 to kick off their 2025 regular season campaign.
As the defending AFC champions, the Chiefs will look to prove that it has the mettle to win in primetime matchups and earn their first victory of the new season against a bitter divisional rival.
While Kansas City prepares for its latest campaign, fantasy football managers are no doubt gearing up for an exciting season of competition against friends and foes alike.
Take a look at these four Chiefs players you should consider selecting in fantasy football drafts this season:
4. Xavier Worthy, Wide Receiver
Worthy will be one of Patrick Mahomes’ favorite targets this season, and appeared in all 17 of Kansas City’s regular-season contests in 2024.
3. Noah Gray, Tight End
Though he is stuck behind Travis Kelce on Kansas City’s depth chart, Gray has played an important role in the Chiefs’ offense in recent years and is sure to make his presence felt throughout Kansas City’s regular season campaign.
2. Kareem Hunt, Running Back
Hunt stepped in to start for Kansas City when star rusher Isiah Pacheco was injured last season. Should Pacheco need to miss any time in 2025, the former Toledo Rocket could be poised to see a significant share of snaps in the Chiefs’ backfield.
1. Tyquan Thornton, Wide Receiver
Thornton is Kansas City’s top boom-or-bust fantasy candidate. He had an obvious chemistry with Patrick Mahomes in the preseason, and Thornton’s speed makes him a threat to score every time he has the ball in his hands.
