(KNUE-FM) In Texas football is a way of life, it is truly remarkable the impact that the sport can have on small towns across the state. Sure, that might seem ridiculous until you look at some of the big names that have done well playing College Football and making it to the NFL. Football is serious, and it doesn’t just start in high school, many of these incredible athletes start playing at a very young age in hopes of going to the pros one day.

When you’re a little kid, it’s a big deal when you put on the jersey and step out onto the playing field. It’s also a huge adrenaline rush when you’re able to put on that jersey and play while representing your high school. We all know that everything is bigger in Texas, and that includes the stadiums where these high school football games are played.

There are lots of small towns that nearly shut down every business when their hometown football team is playing. It’s fun to see the whole community get together to get loud in the stands as they support their team.
