The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets will visit the Colorado Buffaloes for a 2025 college football Week 1 showdown on Friday night. Georgia Tech ended its 2024 season 7-6 overall and a disappointing 1-4 on the road, but it will be confident heading into Week 1 with some veteran starters returning this year. The Buffaloes impressed in their first season in the Big 12 with a 9-4 finish, but must now move on without stars Travis Hunter and Shedeur Sanders.

Kickoff from Folsom Field in Boulder is set for 8 p.m. ET. The Yellow Jackets are 3.5-point favorites in the latest Georgia Tech vs. Colorado odds from SportsLine consensus, while the over-under for total points scored is set at 51.5. Here are SportsLine model’s best bets for Georgia Tech vs. Colorado on Friday:

Colorado +3.5

The Buffaloes were an impressive 9-4-0 against the spread last season, covering in all but one game from Week 3 to Week 14. Head coach Deion Sanders has a quarterback conundrum on his hands and may play both Kaidon Salter and Julian Lewis. Haynes King returns for Georgia Tech and running back Jamal Haynes could open up the running game against a Colorado defense that was inconsistent last season. Nevertheless, the SportsLine model shows the Buffaloes doing enough to cover the spread in well over 50% of simulations.

Under 51.5

The Under hit in six games for Colorado last season, including each of their last three matchups, and that was with Hunter in the mix. Georgia Tech’s defense was one of the best in the ACC by allowing 342.8 total yards per game, with the Under hitting in eight of the Yellow Jackets’ games in 2024.
