Gareth Southgate has secured an exciting new job a year after leaving as England boss.
As reported by The Sun, Southgate will host a new BBC show called One Of A Kind.
The 54-year-old will interview a host of different industry leaders. It is his first role since his departure from the Three Lions.
It is reported that Southgate will receive around £50,000 from hosting the programme.
A source told The Sun:Â ‘The Beeb are excited to have landed Gareth in what will be his first hosting role. It’s a real coup.Â
‘He’ll be interviewing successful people from different spheres of industry, moving away from sport into mainstream inspirational stories.Â

‘Gareth is a philosophical man and producers think he’ll be great at having in-depth chats with interview subjects.
‘He’ll be peeling back the layers to reveal fascinating insights into his experiences.’
The show is set to be filmed in a podcast-style format.
Southgate was appointed as England boss in 2016 and oversaw 102 matches in charge, winning 61, drawing 24 and losing 17.
During his tenure England reached the finals of Euro 2020 and Euro 2024, losing to Italy and Spain respectively.
The Three Lions also reached the semi-finals of the 2018 World Cup and the quarter-finals of the 2022 World Cup.Â
Southgate left his position as England manager two days after the loss to Spain and was subsequently replaced by Thomas Tuchel.Â
In an interview with Daily Mail Sport at the 2025 PFA Awards gala earlier this month, Southgate revealed that he has no plans to return to football in the immediate future.

‘Not at the moment, I’m very much enjoying my life,’ the former England boss said in a relaxed manner.
‘I’ve got some business interests, I’m in the middle of writing a book, I do some work around leadership, I still do some work with young coaches and I’m trying to help out where I can with the crisis we have around young men. I’m trying to put some things in place for that. I’ve also got time to enjoy my life and yes, I am enjoying my life.’Â
