Georgia football OL limps to medical tent

Georgia football freshman offensive lineman Juan Gaston Jr. was injured in the first quarter of the Bulldogs’ season opener against Marshall.

Here’s what we know as Georgia leads Marshall 14-0.

Juan Gaston injury update

Gaston, the first true freshman to start with the Bulldogs since Andrew Thomas did it at right tackle in 2017, went down with 2:22 left in the first quarter.

His injury is unknown at this time, though he was seen slightly limping off the field. The 6-foot-7, 360-pound guard went in the medical tent with trainers first and then was taken to the locker room at the end of the quarter.

Who replaces Juan Gaston on the depth chart?

Redshirt freshman offensive lineman Daniel Calhoun subbed in for Gaston at right guard. The Marietta-native appeared as a reserve offensive lineman against Clemson, Tennessee Tech and Massachusetts in 2024.

This is a developing story that will be updated.
