Bill O’Brien has his work cut out for him. The former New England Patriots coach who had stints with the Houston Texans, Penn State and Alabama is about to enter his first season leading the Boston College football program in 2025. The Eagles are fresh off a 7-6 season and a Pinstripe Bowl appearance, but coach Jeff Haffley left to become the Green Bay Packers‘ offensive coordinator.
Enter O’Brien.
He can look to the recently released EA Sports College Football 26 to have an idea of how the Eagles will stack up against the competition.
BC is a 78 overall, tied with Cal and only above Wake Forest and Stanford in the ACC. The Eagles will be carried by their 80 overall defense, and O’Brien may be able to work his magic with the offense (78).
O’Brien is in the game, as accurate coaches are included for the first time. He has a B+ prestige as a level 50 scheme guru. BC will run a multiple offense and 4-2-5 defense.

KP Price, 87
The box specialist safety has the Blow Up and Instinct abilities. His 90 acceleration combined with an 87 awareness ensure he’s in the right spot on the field to make a play. The 6-foot-1, 200-pound junior has an 88 speed to go along with an 83 change of direction. His 82 hit power will separate the ball from skill position players.
Logan Taylor, 85
The senior left guard from Nova Scotia excels in the ground and pound, wearing down defenses with each rush. His best assets are his mental abilities that help manage the ups and downs and momentum of a game. Taylor’s 92 awareness and 90 strength help him pancake the right man to open a hole. His 89 lead block rating makes Taylor the perfect pull guard on power plays. He scores an 85 in pass blocking and an 84 in run blocking.
Carter Davis, 84
The hybrid free safety from Baltimore is poised for a breakout sophomore season. His knockout ability should help him dislodge the ball in the secondary. Davis is strong in man coverage with an 87. He changes direction well (88) and can jump to deny a deep ball (89).
Lewis Bond, 84
The senior route artist is BC’s impact player on offense. He has the cutter ability to create space and sure hands to hold onto catches in traffic. He has a 91 speed and 93 acceleration paired with an 88 change of direction to make him difficult to tackle in the open field. Bond has an 89 in catching and short route running, which helps in the quick game.
Daveon Crouch, 84
The signal caller Will linebacker is hard to get by with the take down ability. He can accelerate to opponents with an 86 and has an 85 awareness. Crouch has an 87 tackle and hit power and can chase down plays with a 91 pursuit.
Turbo Richard, 83
The sophomore halfback lives up to his name with an 88 speed. He can get into plays quickly with a 92 acceleration, perfect for an East/West Playmaker archetype. Richard possesses an 86 change of direction and juke move.
Jordan McDonald, 83
He brings the thunder. The elusive bruiser has the Headfirst and Arm Bar abilities, so he always falls forward and can use improved stiff arms to fight off the opposition. He tops out at an 89 speed with a 93 acceleration combined with an 88 trucking skill. The ball is secure in his hands with an 88 in carrying.
Jude Bowry, 82
Quarterbacks are safe with him on the blind side. The junior from Germantown, Md., has both the Pocket Shield and PA Shield perks to ward off pass rushers. He can also wear down defensive linemen in the run game. Bowry uses an 89 strength an 89 awareness to marry brain with brawn. He boasts an 88 pass block power and 85 pass blocking overall. His 88 impact block skill can open large holes.
Max Tucker, 82
The zone cornerback ranks second on the team with a 91 speed. His 92 acceleration and 89 agility help him choke off passing angles. He has an 85 awareness and can get out of the gym with a 90 jump.
