Analyst Lee Corso put on Brutus Buckeye’s head as his final prediction in the featured game of the week for “College GameDay” ahead of the matchup between No. 1 Texas and No. 2 Ohio State from Ohio Stadium in Columbus, Ohio, on Aug. 30.

Corso, 90, made it a tradition to don the headgear of the team he picked to win a must-watch moment for college football fans. His first pick: Brutus Buckeye. Here’s what you need to know about Corso’s final headgear pick:

Corso made his first-ever headgear pick in a matchup between Ohio State and Penn State on Oct. 5, 1996, with the help of fellow analyst Kirk Herbstreit and his wife Allison Herbstreit. The pick Brutus headgear pick was revealed near the end of a three-hour pregame show.
Brutus turned out to be a favorite of Corso’s, as he picked the Ohio State Buckeyes to win a record 46-turned-47 times during his run. After a brief prelude on how talented Texas was and how hard the day would be for Ohio State, Corso declared “give me my first love” and donned the head of Brutus.

The Buckeyes were also picked by Kirk Herbstreit and Pat McAfee, who made a show of holding up the horns before throwing horns down and picking the Buckeyes.
Ohio State and Texas are slated to kick off at noon ET from Ohio Stadium in a No. 1 vs. No. 2 matchup, according to the US LBM Coaches Poll, making it a “Game of the Century.”
