Orlando (Fla.) Lake Nona three-star edge rusher DeAnthony Lafayette committed to LSU on Thursday. The 6-1, 230-pounder, who is ranked the No. 34 edge nationally and No. 42 overall player in the state of Florida per 247Sports, will head to Baton Rouge to continue his playing career after the class of 2026 prospect wraps up his senior season.
This is a big win for LSU. The Tigers, led by edge rushers coach Kevin Peoples and defensive coordinator Blake Baker, made Lafayette a top priority. In doing so, LSU beat Oklahoma, Miami, Florida, and many others.
