For us to be as successful as we were at the end of the year, one, kudos to our running game, but two, kudos to our defense.” He added that the special teams deserves credit, too. Moore said the plan is to be “explosive,” but they’ll know more in fall camp.”

But showed throughout the season he could be the starter at the end of the season. … Right now, he’s in pole position to be the starter because of the game he played against Alabama. But there are guys behind him pushing. Ty Haywood, a true freshman from [Texas]. We’ve got a lot of guys to push everybody so nobody feels comfortable.”

The other guy that’s really standing out is Shamari Earls at corner. Caleb Anderson, the transfer from Louisiana, is a tall, long guy — in the mold of the corners that we’ve brought in like Josh Wallace and Aamir Hall. JoJo Edmond is another guy that’ll fit in that fray. There are some young guys. Excited to see Jayden Sanders and Elijah Dotson, who will play safety and nickel.”

Moore on how Blake Frazier can be in the mix at left tackle: “Blake Frazier is almost 100 percent healthy, so he’s working in there and feeling good. Be the best guy and be consistant throughout training camp and show that he can be that Blake Frazier that I think he can be. There are three guys in there — Blake Frazier, Andrew Babalola and Evan Link — in that competition.”
