Mizzou Football Bowl Projections: Missouri Looks Likely to Land in Music City

The Missouri Tigers finished the regular season with an overall record of 9-3 after a 28-21 win over Arkansas on Saturday, ending an era for a special group that went 20-5 over their last 25 games.

There’s still a bowl game remaining for Mizzou, who moved up two spots to No. 19 in the latest College Football Playoff rankings.

While we won’t know officially where the Tigers will be heading until Sunday, let’s take a look at the latest bowl projections.

Per 247Sports, the Gator Bowl is certainly eyeing Missouri, potentially against the Louisville Cardinals.

“Missouri has never played in the Gator Bowl since entering the SEC, and sources told 247Sports prior to Saturday’s win over Arkansas, that organizers in Jacksonville would “love” to showcase Eli Drinkwitz’s team. The belief is the ACC representative in this game will be Louisville or Duke, unless Miami is available.”

That was prior to the latest CFP rankings. On Wednesday, 247Sports predicted Mizzou vs Iowa in the Music City Bowl.

At this point, the Music City appears to be the favorite.
