No. 9-ranked Anthony Thompson closing in on cutting list

Anthony Thompson, a five-star forward ranked No. 9 in the class of 2026, is nearing a list cut as he begins to enter the next stages of his recruitment. Thompson is currently down to UNC, Michigan, BYU, Ohio State, Michigan State, Purdue, Notre Dame, Auburn, Indiana, Georgetown, Kentucky, Texas, Kansas, Xavier, and Louisville. 

“I haven’t set any official visits so far,” Thompson told 247Sports. “I’m pretty far in my recruitment process. I’m probably going to narrow my list pretty soon. Hopefully I can set some visits soon.”

Thompson has had a standout summer with Indiana Elite on the Adidas 3SSB circuit, continuing to solidify his status as one of the most versatile and shooting wings in the country. 

Michigan, Michigan State, Ohio State, Texas, Kentucky, North Carolina, Auburn, Louisville are among the programs pushing the hardest for Thompsons’s services, he others told 247Sports.

Thompson took unofficial visits this past year to Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio State, Michigan, and Michigan State.
