Michigan football wild upset of Ohio State: How it happened, now what?
“Hail Yes!” podcast hosts react to Michigan’s incredible 13-10 win at No. 2 Ohio State and the aftermath at Ohio Stadium in Columbus, Nov. 30, 2024.
It’s Christmas morning for college football coaches and their programs – well figuratively, of course.
Over the next three days of the early signing period, programs within the Big Ten will see their hours and resources put into finding the missing pieces of their rosters pay off with official commitments for their incoming recruiting class.
The three-day early signing period, which ends Friday, has become one of the more active recruiting periods in college football in the past few years. That trend is expected to continue this year, as the top players in the country will sign over the next 72 hours instead of waiting for National Signing Day on Wednesday, Feb. 5.
One Big Ten program has already made a splash going into the early signing period, as Sherrone Moore and Michigan flipped the No. 1 recruit in the country, Bryce Underwood, from LSU to the Wolverines.
And while the current season hasn’t come to a close just yet, signings over the next three days will serve as the catalyst to the offseason debate of which Big Ten team has the most talent going into next season among fan bases.
Here’s a look at where Big Ten teams rank within the country as the early signing period starts Wednesday, including which of the country’s top 50 players are Big Ten bound:
