Garion Thorne dives into tonight’s 11-game MLB slate to find three value options for your DraftKings lineups.
While there’s a sprinkle of afternoon baseball on this Wednesday, a majority of today’s baseball action will be taking place under the lights, as DraftKings features an 11-game featured MLB DFS slate that gets going at 7:05 p.m. ET.
You’ll need some value picks to set your lineups. Thankfully, I’ve got you covered.

SP Cam Schlittler, New York Yankees vs. Seattle Mariners, $7,000
With more injury issues in their rotation, the Yankees have been forced to turn to Schlittler to make his MLB debut on Wednesday. A former seventh-round pick in 2022, Schlittler began the year in Double-A, but pitched well enough to earn a promotion to Triple-A about a month back. Since then, in five starts, the 24-year-old has maintained a 3.80 ERA with a 3.48 FIP and a gargantuan 35.7% strikeout rate. That last part is why we’re here. It certainly helps that Schlittler is cheap, yet it’s his potential for elite strikeout upside that catches my eye on this slate. While it’s unclear exactly how that will translate into a big league setting, I’ll take my chances.
It’s also not like the Mariners are tearing the cover off the ball lately. After being held to three late runs in a blowout loss on Tuesday, Seattle is slashing a paltry .239/.297/.383 with a .294 wOBA across the past two weeks. The team’s 93 wRC+ in that span ranks squarely in the lower-half of the league. It’s not a soft landing spot for Schlittler, but it’s not an overly imposing one, either.
2B/OF Jeff McNeil, New York Mets at Baltimore Orioles, $3,400
Last season, it felt as if the best days of Jeff McNeil were long behind him. However, mid-way through his age 33 campaign, the veteran utility man is proving that that is not the case. Over 215 plate appearances in 2025, McNeil is walking (22) almost as much as he’s striking out (23). He’s also in possession of a career-high .216 ISO. Impressive stuff. As you would expect, most of this power output has come against right-handed pitchers, with McNeil having hit all nine of his home runs within the split with an .818 OPS. Tonight, if the rain hold off, he’ll get the opportunity to add to that total.
Tomoyuki Sugano ($6,000) will take the ball for the Orioles. In his last two starts, the contact-oriented RHP has been awful, surrendering a combined 19 opponent hits and 13 earned runs in just 9.2 innings of work. For the season as a whole, Sugano has had a noteworthy issue with LHBs, giving up an eye-popping 2.23 long balls per nine to 202 he’s faced. All the Mets’ left-handed bats will be viable in DFS, but McNeil stands out as the value.
SS Max Muncy, Athletics vs. Atlanta Braves, $3,000
Muncy’s overall numbers this season won’t floor you, but after hitting his eighth home run of the season on Tuesday, the former first-round pick is clearly starting to find his groove. Muncy’s stats were awful to begin the season, yet things have been much better since the 22-year-old returned to the team back in early June. In fact, since June 4, Muncy is in possession of a .233 ISO and a 114 wRC+. He still strikes out far too often. However, for the purposes of DFS, there’s some real power upside in his bat.
Muncy will also have the good fortune of facing Bryce Elder ($6,200) this evening. There’s no way around it. There’s no way to sugarcoat it. Elder’s simply been terrible in 2025. The right-hander enters play on Wednesday rocking a 5.92 ERA that is fully backed up by a grotesque 6.00 xERA — which ranks in the third percentile of the league. If you need some more recent examples of Elder’s lackluster play, look no further than the fact he’s conceded five opponent home runs in his last seven innings of work. Woof.
