The Texas Tech football team’s season opener against Arkansas-Pine Bluff has entered a weather delay.
The storm moved toward Jones AT&T Stadium just as the first half was wrapping up with Texas Tech holding a 47-0 lead. As teams were exiting the field, fans in the stadium were told to exit the stadium and the game would be suspended.
The game will resume when weather leaves the area. The two teams will get 10 minutes to warm up and the game will be played in two, eight-minute quarters with regular clock until the conclusion.
Play is scheduled to resume around 10:10 p.m. Central.
