After four grueling and highly competitive weeks of playoff football, only the Big Country’s most elite teams on the gridiron are left standing in the 2024 Texas high school football playoffs.
Now heading into the penultimate weekend of postseason football, the best teams in Texas high school football have separated themselves from the pack and are within reach of a UIL state title.
The state’s most elite squads will be looking to move one step closer in their pursuit of a state championship when state semifinal games kick off Thursday, Dec. 12, and wrap up Saturday, Dec. 14.
Here’s a closer look at the full slate of fifth-round games for Big Country teams during the state semifinals of the 2024 Texas (UIL) high school football playoffs:
