BIG RAPIDS, MI – Things could not have gone much worse for the Ferris State football team in the first quarter of its Division 2 national semifinal game against Slippery Rock on Saturday from Top Taggart Field in Big Rapids.
The Bulldogs lost two fumbles and found themselves down 21-7 after the first 15 minutes of action and struggled to get off the field on defense in the second quarter as they entered halftime trailing the upset-minded Rocks 38-27.
