COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football has signed defensive end Logan George. He joins the Buckeyes after two seasons with Idaho State.
George was among the most prolific defensive ends in the FCS this year. He ranked fifth nationally with 19.5 tackles for loss.
He finished this season with 57 tackles across 12 starts. In his career with the Bengals, he collected 58 tackles and 24 tackles for loss.
George is a product of Pocatello, Idaho. He gives the Buckeyes another needed option at defensive end.
Ohio State will likely lose edge rushers Jack Sawyer and J.T. Tuimoloau to the 2025 NFL Draft after the College Football Playoff ends.
As the Buckeyes prepare to lose two starters, Caden Curry and Kenyatta Jackson are expected to emerge as the top candidates for position coach Larry Johnson.
George hasn’t played in the FBS, but he has fielded offers from Wisconsin, Missouri, Iowa State, Georgia Tech and Oklahoma, among others, since entering the transfer portal.
