SLATON, Texas (KCBD) – Local business owners, Marcus and Sierra Kennard, donated 50 pairs of shoes to students at Slaton High School today.
The Kennard’s kids go to school in Slaton as well. Marcus said the school district has always been good to his family and the donation was a way for them to show their appreciation.
“We saw kids dancing,” Sierra said. “We saw kids happy, crying, it was good.”
The two also said this isn’t just a one time thing. They both are planning to donate again next year.
