Well, you don’t see that every day. Or even at every NFL stadium. Heck, you might not see that one ever.
For years, fans have tried to one-up the cheesehead hats that Green Bay Packers fans like to wear with various spinoffs.
But on Thursday, we may have found the winner in the Detroit Lions’ game vs. the Packers in primetime at Ford Field.
A Lions fan quickly started going viral Thursday when the Amazon Prime broadcast showed him grating a huge yellow block of actual cheese into the abyss of the stands.
“How did they allow a cheese grater into the stadium,” NFL analyst Ari Meirov said on X.
A few weeks ago when the Lions played the Packers at Lambeau Field, a Lions fan went viral for wearing a cheese grater hat, but of course, it was made of plastic and did not have any actual cheese-grating ability.
So, incredibly, this is not the first cheese-grater related story that we’ve done this football season.
We can’t confirm whether or not “cheese grater” is on the list of banned items at Ford Field, but due to its incredible obscurity, the fan just may get away with it.
