NFL DFS Best Plays for Week 14 (Fantasy Football)

Each week we will review some of the content found in the DFS Pass and discuss some of our most confident plays heading into Sunday. A lot can change over the weekend, especially with injury news (See Betz’s Injury Blitz podcast) and roster percentages shifting who is in-or-out before roster lock time. Let’s review.

Locked-In Cash Plays

Borg – It feels like we’ve said the same thing every single week but Alvin Kamara remains a high floor weekly option at a price point ($8K) that is too cheap for his services. He’s averaging 23+ opportunities per game and the Giants defense is a turnstile for opposing RBs. His rushing + receiving line on most sportsbooks is well above 120+ yards.  It’s time to end this stupid TD-less streak for him!

Betz – I suspect every cash game lineup this week will feature one (or two) of the cheap RBs – Isaac Guerendo, Braeolon Allen, or Zach Charbonnet (assuming Ken Walker is out). Because of those savings, we can spend up elsewhere, and on this slate, I want to spend up for the NFL’s leader in catches, Brock Bowers. We think Jakobi Meyers (ankle) will be fine, but there’s a chance he’s less than 100%, and if that’s the case, Bowers’ role against the Bucs could be unreal. He’s seen 16, 10 and 14 (lol) targets over the last three weeks.

DraftKings Core Plays

These are the 3-5 players at each position we have mixed in our cash player pool. Based on salaries, late news, and budget constraints, it is guaranteed you will not be able to fit in all of them. But their high floors and team-implied totals make them great plays for the week in both cash & GPPs.

These are simply in order of favorite core players. You obviously won’t be able to fit all in a cash lineup and there are salary tradeoffs for paying up at each position.

We’re not going to lie… QB is tough this week. Sam Darnold projects well at his price point but that doesn’t mean he’s a smash play in tournaments. Paying down for a cheap AOC or Will Levis comes with a lot of risks. If you’d rather play it safe, just play their pass catchers in cash. Kyler Murray is as volatile as they get so good luck figuring which Kyler shows up this week. If he remains a low owned QB, he’s interesting for tourneys where we want to embrace some volatility anyway.
