How Michigan football got Belleville QB Bryce Underwood in 2025 class
‘Hail Yes!’ hosts Tony Garcia and Rainer Sabin break down the Wolverines landing No. 1 overall recruit Bryce Underwood.
Where is Michigan football going to be playing in a bowl game?
For the first time since 2019, the Wolverines‘ postseason question does not have an answer in the days following the end of the regular season. The Wolverines took a step back and finished 7-5 in 2024 while trying to defend the 2023 national championship, but earned a fourth straight win over Ohio State. U-M will be playing in a common bowl game this season.
Michigan spent the past three postseasons playing in the Big Ten championship game and then the College Football Playoff, eventually winning it all in 2023. It had to reset with a new coaching staff led by Sherrone Moore, and now is looking for a new offensive coordinator to replace the fired Kirk Campbell.
The Wolverines are seventh in the Big Ten standings, missing the expanded CFP and very likely to be placed in a bowl with Big Ten ties. The Music City Bowl in Nashville, Tennessee, and the ReliaQuest Bowl in Tampa, Florida, are top options.
Here is a quick look at six different projections of where Michigan will land for a bowl game to conclude the 2024 season.
Will Michigan make a bowl game?
Yes, Michigan will be playing in a bowl game this winter, after becoming eligible with its sixth win of the season, a 50-6 beatdown of Northwestern in the home finale.
When is the bowl game schedule out?
Bowl game matchups will be announced officially on Sunday afternoon, after the 2024 College Football Playoff rankings set the new 12-team field. The CFP show starts at noon ET on ESPN.
